Elon Musk claimed he’s ‘good friends’ with disgraced Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in new book

Elon Musk previously claimed a close friendship with Sean Diddy Combs, despite recent social media posts appearing to criticize the rapper, according to a new book.
During a 2022 meeting with Detavio Samuels, CEO of Combs’ media company Revolt, Musk reportedly said: “I don’t know if you know this, but Puff is an investor in Twitter.”
“You know, he’s a good friend of mine. We text a lot.” Just two weeks ago Combs was placed on suicide watch at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn as he awaits trial, following his arrest and denial of bail.
The claim, reported by New York Times journalists, contrasts with Musk’s recent post following Combs’ arrest on sex trafficking charges.
“How many people in music & entertainment knew about this?” Musk asked on his platform X on Oct. 1.
Combs was listed among 95 investors in X, formerly Twitter, in a federal court filing in August 2024.
Recently Combs was placed on suicide watch shorty after he was arrested and denied bail twice–and he has been awaiting trial while being warned that testifying in his own defense wouldn’t help.
However, while some of his accusers have indicated some high-profile celebrities are on the tapes from the rapper’s alleged “freak-off” parties, things are apparently going better for him behind bars now, as he is officially off suicide watch.

He also has received visitation from members of his family as well, according to reports.
The 54-year-old’s condition behind bars has been speculated about since he was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution following his arrest on Sept. 16.
